Sale Switch schedules sales on Shopify stores. It needs very little about you and nothing at all about your customers. This page says exactly what it keeps and why.

What we collect through Shopify's APIs

When you install the app, it stores:

While a sale runs, it also stores the details of that sale, and the previous values of anything it changes — the theme that was live, and the price or visibility of the products in the sale. That record is how the app puts your store back when the sale ends, which is the whole point of it. Every change is written to an activity log you can read inside the app.

What we collect from you directly

Only what you type into the app: sale names, dates and times, discount settings, and which products or collections a sale applies to. If you email support, we keep that conversation so we can answer it.

What we never collect

Sale Switch does not read, store, or process your customers' personal data. It does not request access to orders or customer records, it places no cookies or tracking scripts on your storefront, and it does not track how shoppers move around your store.

How the information is used

Only to run the app: to apply a sale at its start, restore your store at its end, show you what happened, and bill the subscription through Shopify. It is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising, and it is not used to train machine learning models.

Who else can see it

The app runs on a third-party cloud hosting and database provider, which stores this data on our behalf under contract. Payments are handled entirely by Shopify Billing; we never see your card details. No one else receives your data.

How long it is kept

Sale records and their activity logs are kept while the app is installed, so you have a history of what changed. When you uninstall, the access token is deleted immediately, pending sales are cancelled, and any sale still running is flagged as stopped — once the token is revoked the app can no longer change your store.

When Shopify sends us a shop erasure request, which it does 48 hours after an uninstall, every sale, snapshot, log, and store record is deleted permanently. You can also ask us to delete everything at any time by emailing support.

Your choices

You can uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time, which starts the deletion described above. You can ask what we hold about your store, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@saleswitch.app. We answer within five working days.

Changes to this page

If what the app stores changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
